Community Workshop_02 Presentation

Community Workshop_02--held at the Chateau Theater in downtown Rochester--provided the public a chance to "score" the evolved design based on the framework created during Community Workshop_01.  You can download the entire presentation by clicking here.

Community Workshop_02

Join DMC, The City of Rochester and the Heart of the City Design Team to review and give feedback on the schematic design for the Heart of the City;  an authentic and iconic public space to attract residents, patients, employees, and visitors to America’s City for Health.

5:30 – 6:00 (30 minutes) – Doors Open
6:00 – 6:40 (40 minutes) – Introduction and Presentation
6:40 – 7:30 (50 minutes) – Feedback exercises / Open House

Including Prototypers

At the most recent Community Advisory Committee meeting, the design team presented some updated and refined images of the conceptual design.  These included more detail that helps to define the scale of the structures and elements throughout the public space.  In addition, we highlighted the work of several of Rochester's local makers who participated in last year's Prototyping Festival.

These creative installations were selected by our design team to hopefully find a place in the final Schematic Design for the Heart of the City public space.  Below are a few of the perspective renderings depicting the current design proposals.  Download the entire presentation HERE
